12 Foot Great White Tagged Off Nauset Beach, First Of Season

Dr. Greg Skomal of the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries, working with the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, tagged the first white shark of the season today off Nauset Beach, and the research team documented the second predation in one week! The ~12 ft white shark was 1/4 mile offshore when spotted. After being tagged Dr. Skomal named the shark Luke after his friend, a local fisherman who recently passed.
