A Connecticut man told police he robbed a bank and threw stolen money over Taylor Swift’s fence in an attempt to impress her, according to local media reports.
“It seemed he wanted to propose to her,” Ansonia Police spokesman Lt. Patrick Lynch told the Hartford Courant.“But she wasn’t home when he went there. He said he threw some of the money over a fence to impress her.”
Bruce Rowley, 26, of Derby, Conn., was arrested Thursday after two witnesses identified him as the man who robbed Webster Bank on Division St. in Ansonia, Conn., on Wednesday, the Ansonia Police Department said in a statement. …
Rhode Island State Police spotted Rowley’s car and tried to stop him, but he refused to stop the car.
Before being taken into custody, 26-year-old Rowley led Rhode Island State police on a chase that ended back in Connecticut last Thursday, WTNH-TV reported.
