A dock on Nantucket sold for $4.75Million (boat not included)

Ex-Google CEO Eric Schmidt has reportedly purchased a 140-foot boat slip on Nantucket for $4.75million.

It’s one of just three deepwater slips in Nantucket Harbor and it’s long enough to dock a 156-foot yacht. Although not long enough to handle Schmidt’s 171-foot yacht Elfjie.

Though Jen Shalley of Fisher Real Estate, the real estate agent who represented the buyer refused to name her client, the Boston Globe reports that the a 99-year-lease was signed on the dock last month by a holding company managed by the Schmidts’ family investment office in Palo Alto, California. She confirmed it was bought for private use.

Eric Schmidt was CEO of Google from 2001-2011, and is now executive director of Google’s holding company, Alphabet. He has an estimated worth of $10.6billion and is the 138th wealthiest person in the world.

And before you get all up in arms about how expensive this dock is, you need to know that it does come with a parking space. So there is that.
