A Great White Shark Was Stranded On A Chatham Sand Bar At Low Tide Earlier Today

So this answers the “how close to shore do the great whites come” question.

A seven-and-a-half foot great white shark was stranded on a sand bar inside South Beach cut in Chatham, MA at low tide earlier today in Chatham. Beach goes threw buckets of water on the shark in an attempt to save it until Dr. Greg Skomal of the Mass Division of Marine Fisheries, Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, and Chatham Harbormasters revived the shark, tagged it and then led it out to the open ocean.
