A juvenile great white beached itself while trying to catch seagulls off Chatham, Massachusetts. Thanks to the harbor master and beach-goers, this shark was saved.
Part 1
Dr. Greg Skomal of the Division of Marine Fisheries, Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, and Chatham Harbormaster Stuart Smith worked to rescue the 7 ft male white shark that had been beached inside the South Beach cut in Chatham. The team was eventually able to revive the shark and lead it out into the ocean approximately 1 mile offshore. www.atlanticwhiteshark.org
