Beat Newport Folk Festival Traffic at Gurney’s Newport

The Newport Folk Festival is just around the corner (July 28-30), and guest’s of Gurney’s Newport Resort & Marina can skip the traffic to Fort Adams (known to take hours during the festival) through the resort’s own water shuttle — bringing guest’s directly from property to the park in less than 10 minutes.

Sip on cocktails at the Regent Firepit at Gurney’s on the new 3 tiered deck with 11 firepits — complete with undisturbed views of the Newport Bridge — before heading off to enjoy the sounds of the Fleet Foxes, Wilco, The Head and the Heart, Jim James and more.

The new Gurney’s Newport debuted this summer on Goat Island in RI with 257 new guestrooms from PETERMAX and four new food and beverage outlets including Scarpetta, the Italian hotspot, delivering updated classics with signature handmade pasta alongside locally influenced dishes; Corso, an Italian-style coffee bar with a grab-and-go menu; The Regent Cocktail Club, the resort’s crafted cocktail and lounge experience with indoor seating and an outdoor three-level deck featuring eleven firepits; and the hottest seats in town come courtesy of The Pineapple Club, bedecked in day beds and a splash-worthy restaurant and bar.
