Delta Air Lines is partnering with Shake Shack to Delta Air Lines is partnering with Shake Shack to offer its iconic cheeseburgers to First Class passengers on select flights, starting Dec. 1. The collaboration will debut on routes departing from Boston Logan Airport that are over 900 miles, with plans to expand to more U.S. markets in 2025. Passengers will have the option to pre-order a Shake Shack Cheeseburger as part of their in-flight meal. The Shake Shack Cheeseburger features a 100% Angus beef patty with cheese on a toasted potato bun. Passengers can customize their meal to include ShackBurger toppings like tomato, lettuce, and ShackSauce, served on the side. The meal also comes with chips, a Caesar salad, and a dark chocolate brownie inspired by Shake Shack’s dessert flavors. Passengers in First Class can pre-select the Shake Shack Cheeseburger using the Fly Delta app or an email link. The new structure, prominently situated along Mill Street and Queen Anne Square, marks a significant expansion for the church, blending historical reverence with modern functionality. The building will house two classrooms for the church’s growing Sunday School programs, a nursery, accessible clergy offices, committee meeting rooms, and a 1,500-square-foot terrace. Visible from the street, the steel frame of the structure is already in place, signaling rapid progress toward its anticipated completion in mid-2025. The building’s design, by architect Jeff Moniz Jr. and Melissa Breen of 2 Hands Studio, harmonizes with the existing campus. Its traditional materials and forms are complemented by a glass facade facing Queen Anne Square, symbolizing the church’s openness and engagement with the community. “This design bridges the historical language of Trinity’s campus with a forward-looking sensibility,” Moniz explained. “The glass facade embodies the church’s desire to connect with Newport in meaningful ways.” A milestone celebration on Sunday, November 17, 2024, marked the culmination of 12 years of planning. Children from the Sunday School donned Trinity-branded hard hats emblazoned with the phrase “We’re Building!” while Interim Rector Timothy Safford led prayers and blessings. The remains of Charlotte Lester, who vanished in M The remains of Charlotte Lester, who vanished in May 2022, have been discovered in Exeter, Warwick police announced Wednesday. A suspect, Mark Perkins, 64, of Warwick, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder. The case saw a breakthrough earlier this week when a hunter alerted authorities to human remains in a wooded area. Testing by the state medical examiner confirmed the remains were those of Lester, an East Greenwich resident with family in Newport. “The Warwick Police Department is saddened to announce that human remains have been found and have been positively identified as belonging to Charlotte Lester,” Commander Michael Lima said during a Wednesday news conference. “We extend our deepest condolences to Charlotte’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.” A hunter provided crucial information that led authorities to the area, according to Lima. He noted that while police always suspected something had happened to Charlotte, the absence of her remains had been a significant challenge in the case. Perkins, described by police as a past companion of Lester, was apprehended at a Cumberland Farms convenience store on Post Road. He is set to be arraigned Wednesday afternoon at Kent County District Courthouse. Lester, 44, was last seen alive on May 16, 2022, in the Arnold’s Neck Drive and Staples Avenue area of Warwick. Her Toyota Tacoma was later found abandoned at Kent Hospital, and her dog was located wandering on Elmwood Avenue. Despite months of searching, no trace of Lester was found until this week. Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi commended the police for their relentless dedication to the case. “This meant something to them personally,” he said. “Our detective division never let this go, and I am happy for Charlotte’s family. Customers visiting affected stores were met with signs informing them of an IT systems outage. “While there may be some limited inventory for certain products, we are working to re-stock our shelves and anticipate item availability to continue to improve over the next few days,” Stop & Shop said in a statement. The cyberattack, which Ahold Delhaize USA described as a “cybersecurity issue within its U.S. network,” triggered immediate action. “Upon detecting the issue, our security teams began an investigation with the assistance of external cybersecurity experts,” the company said. “We also notified law enforcement. Our teams are taking steps to assess and mitigate the issue, including taking some systems offline to help protect them.” The disruption has extended beyond grocery operations, affecting some of Ahold Delhaize’s pharmacies and e-commerce services, the company confirmed. Hope Funds for Cancer Research, an organization co Hope Funds for Cancer Research, an organization committed to advancing treatments for some of the most challenging forms of cancer, received an extraordinary gift today from an unexpected benefactor: Dylan Rozansky, an eighth-grade student at Pennfield School. At a school assembly, Dylan presented a $4,000 check to two Hope Funds Trustees, the culmination of his entrepreneurial venture, Cuts for a Cure. The lawn care service, which Dylan established and managed, donated all proceeds to the organization’s annual fund. During the presentation, Dylan shared the deeply personal motivation behind his initiative. “Cancer has affected my life. I lost my grandmother in 2021, and my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023. Thankfully, she has successfully beaten this disease and is cancer-free thanks to wonderful doctors and medicine that was available to her; but more needs to be done,” he said, addressing his teachers and peers. A vessel contracted by Orsted to support its Revol A vessel contracted by Orsted to support its Revolution Wind project ran aground early Monday morning off of Jamestown, leading to a U.S. Coast Guard response and raising questions about the risks tied to offshore wind operations. The Virginia Wave, tasked with enforcing safety zones around the wind farm’s survey activities, became stranded in the west passage between Austin Hollow and Beavertail State Park shortly after midnight. Four crew members were rescued by another vessel, and no injuries were reported. While the Virginia Wave was able to float free with the morning tide and return to Quonset under its own power, the Coast Guard is investigating the cause of the incident and monitoring the vessel to ensure it is seaworthy. Officials noted evidence of diesel fuel spill, but the extent of the spill remains undetermined.
