Rhode Islanders pay the highest car tax in the nation according to a new study just published by Wallet Hub. According to the study, on average, Rhode Islanders can expect to pay $1,144 a year on a $24,000 vehicle.
For comparison, Connecticut residents pay $609, Massachusetts residents pay $540 and New Yorkers pay ZERO!!!
In fact…Hawaii, Delaware, DC, New Jersey, Florida, Utah, Tennessee, Idaho, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Georgia, North Dakota, Washington, Oregon, Maryland, South Dakota, Alaska, Illinois, Wisconsin, Texas, Vermont, Ohio, New York and Pennsylvania all have ZERO car taxes!!!
