EVENTS – Lafayette’s L’Hermione Newport, RI Visit
L’Hermione is an authentic replica of the first L’Hermione, the French frigate that carried the young Marquis de Lafayette to General Washington during the American Revolution to pledge full French support for America’s cause.

Hosted by General Washington and and General Nathanael Green. The Soiree will begin promptly at 6:00 PM, with music of fife and drum, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
Dinner will be at 7:00. Entertainment will continue throughout the evening. Guests will be joined by over 50 uniformed historic interpreters.Tickets are $115 per person and are limited to 110 guests. Should you wish to attend the July 9 evening event in honor of Hermione and tickets are sold out for the Soiree, please consider joining the troops and sailors of Hermione’s escort for a casual meal on the grounds of Fort Adams.
This picnic style event will include plenty of good hearty food with a complimentary ‘ale’ or wine.
