Friends of Ballard Park is hosting a Father’s Day Hike on Sunday, June 17th at 10 am. A great activity for kids to do with dad (moms welcome too).
Friends of Ballard Park staff will lead hikers through the thirteen acre nature preserve providing information on its history, unique features and habitats like a vernal pond, woodland forest and quarry meadow. Trails are rugged and steep in areas so proper footwear (sneakers, hiking boots) are recommended.
Meet at the quarry meadow entrance at 21 Hazard Road. $10 suggested donation per family. $5 per person. The hike will take about an hour. Visit www.ballardpark.org or call 619.3377 for more information.
