Here’s how to get your Cox internet working again

Ok, so they day the internet died has perhaps become the day we all learned about DNS settings. We need to switch to the Google Public DNS to get your internet going again.

So, let’s get you hooked up and surfing again.

1 – Click on your WiFi Icon and click on “Open Network Preferences”

2 – Click on “Advanced”

3 – Click on the DNS tab and SCREEN SHOT YOUR DNS SERVERS  so you can reset it later and THEN change your DNS Servers to these!!! (8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4)

Hit Ok and then Apply the changes.

And BOOM you’re back on the internet.

PS – These setting are for MAC so we’re not sure of the exact configuration for a PC since we haven’t used one those since the late 1990’s.
