The Boston Globe is reporting that James Taylor will be the surprise guest at Saturday’s Newport Folk Festival. Taylor, who first played Newport Folk Fest in 1969 where he debuted “Sweet Baby James”, will play a 30 minute set on the Fort Stage at 3:50pm.
Taylor wrote and recorded his newest album here in Newport last winter.
