The Brewers Association today released its annual list of the top 50 craft brewing companies in the U.S., based on beer sales volume and local favorite Narragansett Brewing ranks #38 on list.
“The top U.S. brewers continue to drive demand, growth, innovation and exponential interest in beers from small and independent brewers,” said Bart Watson, chief economist, Brewers Association. “With a historic record number of breweries in the U.S., the top brewers continue to open new markets and expose beer drinkers to a variety of fuller-flavored styles and offerings.”
Just last week Narragansett announced that they were moving brewing operations back to Rhode Island.
Other New England breweries on the list are Harpoon (MA) #19, Longtrail (VT) at #28, and Shipyard (ME) at #30 and Allagash (ME) at #42.
