A Newport man has been charged in last week’s stabbing murder of a Providence man according to the Providence Journal.
Jose Medina, of Newport, was arrested Tuesday night by the Providence police for the West End stabbing murder of 50-year-old Patrick Douglass of Providence.
Police believe that the fight between the two men stemmed from an argument they had over a local prostitute.
Medina was arrested in March 2014 for stabbing a Newport man in the neck on Broadway.
Medina is due to be arraigned on murder charges Wednesday morning.
