On November 14, Rhode Island Hospital honored local champions for their selfless contributions during its signature President’s Pursuit of Excellence Dinner. Among the honorees were Lisette Prince and her children, Diana Oehrli, Guillaume de Ramel and Regis de Ramel as Individual Champions. In 2010, the hospital established The Norman Prince Neurosciences Institute thanks to a $15 million gift arranged by the family, from The Frederick Henry Prince 1932 Trust. It remains the largest donation to date in the history of Rhode Island Hospital.
The Institute is dedicated to advancing the neurosciences and reducing human suffering from disorders of the nervous system through world-class research, outstanding clinical care, and advanced education. Since its inception, the Institute has worked to bring together the state’s leading experts in neurosurgery, neurology, and psychiatry in order to find new ways to prevent, treat and, ultimately, cure devastating neurological disorders.
