An inspection crane tipped on its side Monday afternoon on the Sakonnet Bridge trapping two workers in the bucket under the bridge and shutting down traffic in both directions.
Portsmouth police and fire worked with a second bucket truck to rescue the stranded workers.
The bridge remains closed to traffic in both directions has crews work to remove the overturned crane.
