Parents of 5 die in North Kingstown motorcycle crash

A Coventry couple was killed Sunday evening around 6pm after a motorcycle crash in North Kingston.

Brad Torti, 33, and his wife Cherilynn Torti, 38, were traveling north on Tower Hill Road, when a car in the southbound lane attempted to make a left turn onto Thelma Irene Drive. Police said the motorcycle crashed into the vehicle’s passenger side.

The Tortis were taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where they died from their injuries.

They leave behind five children. A nineteen year-old and two sets of young twins.

A GoFundMe account has been opened to help pay for funeral expenses and to help their five children.

On Sunday, June 14, 2015, the lives of the Torti children were drastically changed forever by a sudden and tragic accident. The motorcycle which thier parents, Brad and Cherilyn, were operating collided with another vehicle. Brad and Cherilyn were critically wounded and succumbed to their injuries soon thereafter.

Cherilyn was a 2007 graduate of the Community College of Rhode Island’s Nursing Program. She worked in the operating room at the VA hospital in Providence prior to devoting her life to the care of her husband and their five children. Brad, an avid motorcyclist, was employed as a Manager at Electric Boat. He was a true family man who adored and doted upon his wife and children.

They both were active in the community having gathered collections for the Bristol Good Neighbor’s Soup Kitchen and organized fundraisers to raise awareness for children with Apraxia.

Please help raise money for their five children who have lost their parents and life as they once knew it. 100% of the funds raised (less the fees GoFundMe charges) will be donated to the Torti family for funeral expenses and any and all additional expenses which they will incur during this time of tragedy.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Torti Family.

Rest Peacefully, Brad and Cherilyn.

Please consider donating to help their children
