Rhode Island Residents 2nd Least Confident In Their State Government

According to a recent Gallop Poll, only 33% of Rhode Island residents are confident in their state government, the 2nd lowest among the 50 states. Only Illinois, long the heavy weight champion of corruption, faired worse, with just 25% having confidence.

Connecticut scored third worse with a 39% confidence rate. North Dakota residents are the most trusting; 81% say they are confident in their state government.
