Howard Gardiner Cushing, Jr. died peacefully in his home, in Newport RI on July 5th, 2020 surrounded by family and loved ones.  A beloved father and husband, Howard is survived by his wife Nora Knott Cushing whom he married in 1979, his two sons Howard Cushing and Jamie Cushing, five daughters Edith Cushing, Katharine Cushing, Cornelia DiPietro, Nina Marceca, pre-deceased Mary Ames Tollefson, his two step-children, Alison Wilson and Nora Madden, and by 17 grandchildren.  Howard was born September 4th, 1931 in New … Continue reading RIP Howard Gardiner Cushing, Jr.
