Scott E. Vidinha, 52 of Middletown passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017. He was born in Middletown, R.I. on October 14, 1964, the son of John and Adelaide (Almeida) Vidinha. In addition to his parents, he leaves his wife, Sharon M. Keeley and his brother, John A. Vidinha and his sister, Suzanne Dugan and her husband, Jerry. Additionally, he leaves his stepson, Joshua A. Keeley and his wife, Anne Kratz and their son Thomas Ochs Keeley of Pocatello, Idaho. He also leaves three nieces and a nephew.
Scott graduated from Middletown High School and Salve Regina University. At the time of his passing, he was employed as a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service with 20 years of service. He was active in the community as a member of the Vasco DaGama Society and the Middletown Fraternal Order of Police Associates. As an apprentice to his father, Scott was an integral part of cooking and preparing the meals served at the Vasco DaGama annual men’s night. In 2016, the torch was passed from father to son and Scott assumed the role of chief cook.
Possessed of a happy and outgoing disposition, Scott was always ready to lend a hand to any and all who needed help.
Funeral services are omitted at this time and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
