Registrations are now being accepted at www.salve.edu/run for Salve Regina’s 17th annual 5k Mansion Run and Fun Walk that starts and finishes on the university’s seaside campus. The event will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22 during the university’s celebration of Fall Festival Weekend.
Open to the general public, the sanctioned 3.1-mile course weaves participants in a scenic tour past many Gilded Age mansions. Proceeds from the event support Friends of Seahawk Athletics.
The road race annually attracts several hundred participants from the Salve Regina community and the general public. Prizes will include $150 for the first place male and female, $100 for the second place male and female and $50 for the third place male and female.
Registration is $20, with team discounts available. Free Mansion Run T-shirts are guaranteed for the first 400 paid registrants.
People may register online by visiting www.salve.edu/run. Race-day registration will begin at 7 a.m. onSaturday, Oct. 22 in the Rodgers Recreation Center on Salve Regina’s campus.
