The Newport Tree Conservancy unveils new truck and Volunteer Program; The NTC Tree Corps

The Newport Tree Conservancy announced Tuesday that they have a new vehicle outfitted for the care of Newport trees thanks to the generosity of the Champlin Foundation.

Their new F150 Ford truck has a water tank, room for mulch, tools and a trailer to allow the community to help care for their shared trees.

The volunteer “Tree Corps” will plant, water and mulch community trees so that they can grow and thrive for decades to come. This is a great way to get involved in the community, get outside, learn about trees and meet new people.

They invite you to join this community volunteer effort to help us steward our urban forest.

Join to learn about tree care and how to water, mulch and document trees in your neighborhood, along city streets and in our public parks.
