The Staves, a sister-trio from Watford, England, have been added to the 2016 Newport Folk Festival lineup. The Staves, who blend the wistful cadences of classic British folk with breezy, Laurel Canyon-era Americana, were formed in 2010 around the talents of sisters Emily, Jessica and Camilla Staveley-Taylor, who first learned to harmonize by singing along with their parents’ record collection, dominated by the likes of Simon & Garfunkel and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
The Staves will play the sold-out Newport Folk Festival on Friday, July 22nd.
