David McCullough, the two time Pulitzer Prize winning historian and novelist, is coming to Newport next month to accept the inaugural Abraham Redwood Medal for Contributions to American History and Culture. The event will take place at Bazarsky Lecture Hall, O’Hare Academic Commons, Salve Regina University on November 12th at 5:30.
McCullough will also give a talk about his new book, The Wright Brothers.
McCullough’s two Pulitzer Prize-winning books, Truman and John Adams, have been adapted by HBO into a TV film and a mini-series, respectively. In addition to his two Pulitzers, McCullough won the National Book Award and is recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the United States’ highest civilian award.
