Newport police have arrested a local woman after a stabbing Wednesday night.
Police responded to a Bellevue Avenue parking lot for a stabbing at around 11:30 pm, and arrested Crystal Lynn Cordeiro, 28, of Newport.
The victim, a 34-year-old local male, was brought to Newport Hospital and then transferred to Rhode Island Hospital. His current condition is unknown at this time.
Cordeiro was Disorderly Conduct and Simple Assault.
