Biden’s decision, made under the 1953 Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, could make it harder for President-elect Donald Trump to reverse the ban when he takes office. “This is about protecting the places we hold dear for our children and grandchildren,” Biden said, stressing the environmental and climate impacts of offshore drilling. Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) strongly backed Biden’s decision, calling it a victory for Rhode Islanders and coastal communities across the nation. “This action will make it harder for the incoming administration to undo this protection,” Reed vowed, pledging to use every legislative tool to safeguard these vital areas. The @bostoncalling Music Festival is gearing up fo The @bostoncalling Music Festival is gearing up for its 2025 return with a powerhouse lineup. Country star @lukecombs, pop-punk favorites @falloutboy, and iconic jam band @davematthewsband will headline the three-day event, set for May 23-25 at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Boston, Massachusetts. 
Each headliner will top off a day filled with performances from more than 50 artists across multiple genres. On Friday, May 23, Luke Combs takes center stage after a day featuring Megan Moroney, Sheryl Crow, T-Pain, TLC, and other standout acts. Saturday, May 24, brings Fall Out Boy to the main stage, with Avril Lavigne, Cage The Elephant, The Black Crowes, and All Time Low rounding out the day. Patriots owner Robert Kraft wasted no time, issuing a statement just after the Pats’ 23-16 win over the Bills—a victory that cost them the1st pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The win was the final nail in the coffin for Mayo. In a game many expected New England to tank, the Patriots somehow clawed their way to an unnecessary W, falling to the No. 4 draft slot. Statement from Robert Kraft: “After the game today, I informed Jerod Mayo that he will not be returning as the head coach of the New England Patriots in 2025. For me, personally, this was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made. I have known Jerod for 17 years. He earned my respect and admiration as a rookie in 2008 and throughout his career for his play on the field, his leadership in the locker room and the way he conducted himself in our community. When he joined our coaching staff, his leadership was even more evident, as I saw how the players responded to him. When other teams started requesting to interview him, I feared I would lose him and committed to making him our next head coach.
