The Broadway Streetscape project is moving to another phase with a permanent traffic pattern change from Marlborough Street to Farewell Street.
The road will become one way southbound, toward Washington Square. The RI DOT will do an in-depth reconstruction of the roadway, rebuilding it and making it more pedestrian-friendly.
Parking will change from parallel to head-in, which will provide additional spaces. In the short term, however, there will be no parking on this stretch of Broadway.
