The National Sailing Hall of Fame’s board of directors voted 17-9 to Tuesday afternoon to move forward with its deal to purchase space in the Armory Building for $1.685 million and move to Newport, RI!
The Sailing Hall of Fame will spend around $4 million to buy, renovate, furnish and install exhibits in the Armory.
It is expected that the Hall of Fame will take approximately a year to renovate and open in Newport.
