Gurney’s Newport’s has partnered with NYC based Sushi on Jones and will host a month long Sushi on Jones pop-up at The Lounge & Firepit – the resort’s outdoor bar and restaurant featuring undisturbed views of the famed Newport Bridge – from August 1 through September 2.
For its first ever hotel residency, Sushi on Jones will offer visitors and locals alike the highest quality creations with traditional omakase, an a la carte menu featuring nigiri, temaki, maki, as well as a late night handroll menu.
The Sushi on Jones menu will be offered from Wednesday through Sunday from 12pm to 10pm, joining the restaurant’s menu of daily New England fare. To celebrate the resort’s New England location, the team has put a playful twist on the traditional Lobster Roll with the creation of a limited-time “Gurney’s Roll.” The custom sushi roll features poached local lobster topped with truffled yuzu kimizu, radish sprouts and Kaluga caviar.
This new partnership will add to the already impressive culinary program at Gurney’s Newport, joining waterfront outpost of renowned Italian restaurant, Scarpetta, and the poolside Pineapple Club.
