Natalie Cole, the Grammy Award-winning singer whose hits included “Inseparable,” “Pink Cadillac” and “Unforgettable,” a virtual duet with her father, Nat King Cole has died. She was 65.
Cole died Thursday evening at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles due to complications from ongoing health issues, her family said in a statement.
“Natalie fought a fierce, courageous battle, dying how she lived … with dignity, strength and honor. Our beloved Mother and sister will be greatly missed and remain UNFORGETTABLE in our hearts forever.”
Cole performed at the Newport Jazz Festival numerous times, most recently in 2003.
