Three cheers to this group of patriots who took economic development initiative early Sunday afternoon by turning Southern Broadway into a pop up beach, equipt with a pool, an umbrella and floaties.
The construction on Broadway has been torturous on local businesses as of late and we see this as a great step forward to help populate our favorite section of Newport. This could actually help increase business at Van Gogh Pizza, Hope, Tavern on Broadway, Fastnet, Pour Judgement, Closet Revival, Boru Noodle Bar, Mels, Raw Power Juice Bar, Holy Smokes and more!
What a great idea! No way anyone could find a problem with harmless fun.
