Team Buzz Professional Ironman Ray Botelho continues to defy age in the 2015 Ironman triathlon season. The 42 year-old Newport native just finished 9th (out of 2593 athletes) at the Ironman 70.3 Eagleman in Cambridge Maryland.
Ray put up splits of:
28:27 (swim) 2:10:27 (bike) 1:36:56 (run) – FINISH 4:18:48 -> 9th place, Mens Pro.
Ray’s 9th place finish comes on the heels of a 12th place finish at IRONMAN North American Championships in Woodlands, TX on May 15th.
