Ray Botelho, a native Newporter and 1992 graduate of Rogers High School, continues his amazing professional IRONMAN Triathlon career. On Sunday, Botelho, the OLDEST professional American on the world tour, placed 12th out of a field made up of over 1,700 athletes at IRONMAN Cozumel, Mexico.
The 44-year-old Botelho, who first turned pro at age 22, seems to only get better with age. His 8:55:31 finish is one of the fastest times of his professional career.
