Newport NEEDS this Tweeting Pothole device and we need it yesterday!

Panama City, Panama is a lot like Newport. We both are great party towns, we both have an ever growing bi-lingual population and we both have pretty terrible roads with HUGE potholes.

If only there was a way to fix them…

Well Panama City news channel Telemetro has decided to do something about it and has placed sensors inside a number of the potholes plaguing city roads. Whenever a car drives over one, the pothole sends a tweet to the city’s Department of Public Works. Basically they’re using squeaky wheel logic, which is brilliant!

Can you imagine if this was in place in Newport?!?!

We could potentially break Twitter and perhaps even the entire internet on any given weekend!!!!
