The Pawtucket Arts Festival celebrates creative and cultural life in the City of Pawtucket,Rhode Island, by presenting vibrant arts events during the month of September for resident audiences and for visitors to the City and the Blackstone River Valley. PAF will produce and collaborate with producing partners to present dance, music, theatre, film, visual arts & design, as well as folk-traditional and other arts that evoke the City’s historic legacy, that present creative and cultural communities of today, and that ensure the place of the arts in the Pawtucket of tomorrow.

6 – Reggae Music at Tavern On Broadway with The Mintones (Friday – 9pm)
Come check out one of Rhode Island’s premier reggae acts performing roots reggae, modern reggae and dub at one of Broadways hottest new venues.
7 – Newport Polo vs New York (Saturday – 5pm)
Newport Polo, host of the Newport International Polo Series XXIV, is the home of the Westchester Polo Club, America’s first polo club, est. in 1876, and founding member of the United States Polo Association, offering public exhibition matches and polo club member services for grass & arena polo, and polo instruction year-round.

The Newport Independant Music Festival welcomes The Bob Kendall Band and Zanricky – Bring a blanket and enjoy a Sunday afternoon concert at the King Park Gazebo.

11 – Newport Stamp Act Reenactment (Saturday 1pm – 4:30pm)
Newport, Rhode Island’s rich colonial history comes to life during the Newport Historical Society’s Stamp Act Protest. This large-scale reenactment takes place in downtown Newport to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Stamp Act Riots, one of the first events that sparked the American Revolution.
12- NYYC Grandmasters Team Race Regatta (all weekend)
Eight yacht club teams will compete in the 2015 NYYC Grandmasters Team Race Regatta in Sonars with 3 or 4 sailors per boat. Skippers must be at least 55 years of age and shall not have skippered in either the 2015 Morgan Cup or 2015 Hinman Masters. Each crew member must be at least 45 years of age.
