3 to 6 inches of snow predicted for Southern New England on Monday

The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Southern New England which is in effect from 3am to 8pm on Monday.

Snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are expected with higher amounts across the high terrain

The snow will quickly hit Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut between 3 and 5am before moving into Rhode Island and Eastern Massachusetts between 5 and 7am.

The bulk of the accumulating snow is expected to occur through mid to late afternoon but some snow may linger into Monday evening especially south of the Massachusetts Turnpike.
