Alabama Shakes, the Grammy winning blues-rock band, will take the stage this summer at the Newport Folk Festival on Sunday, July 24th.
Led by frontwoman Brittany Howard, the group first played Newport Folk in 2012 and dominated the charts with their debut album “Boys & Girls”. In 2015, their sophomore effort “Sound & Color” was certified gold garnering the group three Grammy awards in 2016, including Best Rock Performance, Best Alternative Music Album, and Best Rock Song for their single “Don’t Wanna Fight.”
