Annual Santacon Newport is this Saturday, December 4th

Santacon, the yearly pub crawl Toys for Tots event where your cousin’s old fraternity brothers descend on downtown Newport singing loud drunken jingles in as many bars as possible before succumbing to alcohol poisoning, will be held in Newport on Saturday, December 4th from noon till 7pm

The organizers have some guidelines to make the pub crawl seamless.

  • Do I HAVE to wear a costume? YES…it’s just that simple. YES, you DO! A FULL COSTUME! C’mon, get creative folks! No lame ass Santa hat-wearing wannabes allowed. Make an effort people…it’s the holidays!

  • Please pay for your drinks as soon as you get them. Santas get tired of waiting on other Santas to clear their tab before being able to move on. This entire adventure should be CASH ONLY.

  • “No Santa left behind!” Don’t think only of yourself – Santa is not inconsiderate of his fellow Santas like that. Pick a few people you know and keep an eye out for them when it’s time to move to the next location. If you don’t see them, speak up so other Santas know to wait a moment. Every Santa should have at least 2-3 other Santas they look out for and 2-3 that look out for them in turn.

  • Stay with the group! Santas are more fun when they travel in a pack. Follow the Santa with the megaphone! It’s a whole lot more fun to walk into a bar with at least 50 Santas at a time isn’t it? We’ll make more of an impact if we stay together!

Have a blast and Merry Christmas!
