Reports are flooding in of stabbing rampage in Taunton, MA that has left at least three dead including the alleged assailant who was shot by an off-duty law enforcement officer.
Massachusetts State Police are on scene at two crime scenes in Taunton, one a home on Myrick Street, and the second in the Macy’s at the Silver City Galleria after a deranged assailant stabbed at least four people, including, according to reports on 630WPRO, a pregnant woman in the stomach.
The incident began around 7 p.m. with the double stabbing on Myrick Street in Taunton and ended at the Silver City Galleria just 35 miles north of Newport, RI and 40 miles south of Boston.

Massachusetts State Police Media Release – 05102016 – Two Stabbed at Galleria Mall in Taunton, Two Others Stabbed at House, Suspect Shot by Off Duty Law Enforcement.
UPDATED
The suspect in the Taunton incidents is deceased. Two of his victims are also deceased.
There is no continuing threat to the public.
The suspect’s motive remains under investigation but at this point we are aware of no nexus to terrorism.
As district attorneys in Massachusetts have jurisdiction over death investigations further updates are expected to be provided by the Bristol County District Attorney.
No further information is being released at this time.
