The Newport 4th of July Fireworks will go off at 9:15pm on Sunday, July 4th. The fireworks are shot over Newport Harbor from the point at Fort Adams.
Prime viewing locations are on Newport Harbor, Fort Adams, King Park and all along the waterfront. The Deck, Dockside, Gurney’s & the Clarke Cooke House have the best celebrations.

The Colony House will be open from 10 am for visitors to explore the first floor. A slate of free events are also scheduled to take place in Washington Square.
At 11am, the Declaration of Independence will be read from the steps of the Colony House, at which point public admission to the interior of the Colony House will end. Following the reading, the Artillery Company of Newport will fire a 21 Gun Salute in Washington Square.
