4 – Newport’s Festa Italiana’s Festival in the Park (Saturday 11am – 4pm)
Italian food, novelties, raffles, and fun for families of all ages! Music by Calabria Bella will entertain all day. Come early …. stay all day! Area vendors feature their very best products!
5 – Broadway Street Fair (Saturday 12-6pm)
Music, Comics & Improv from 12:30 – 5:30 on 4 stages throughout the street, including a Family Stage for the kids!
Vendors from 12 – 6pm, including everything from candy to wind chimes to jewelry!
Kid friendly activities from noon – 5:30 include the Mad Hatter Tea Party, painting station, bounce house, paint-a-pumpkin and more!
Food vendors available from 12 – 6 and Broadway restaurants are open all day!
6 – Live Music at Newport Vineyards with Kevin Greene (Saturday 1-4pm)
7 – Live music in the One Bellevue Lounge at Hotel Viking with Nina Otto (Saturday 7pm)
Sunday
8 – Newport Marathon (7:30am)
The Newport Marathon features all of the beauty and grandeur the City By The Sea has to offer. The only marathon and half-marathon in Newport, the course is simply astounding: winding ocean-side roads, miles of waterfront views, and sweeping vistas of the grand mansions along Bellevue Avenue.
The race will begin at 7:30 AM in Newport, Rhode Island and travel through the city, as well as neighboring communities. The race will utilize a USTAF-certified course and can be used as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon and all other major marathon events.
9 – Brunch
- Brunch at Tavern on Broadway (10am – 2pm) The price of your entree includes a bloody, a mimosa or the drink of your choice!!!
10 –Live Music at Newport Vineyards withColby and Keila (Sunday 1-4pm)
11 – Afternoon tea with Airlyn Mitchel on the harp at Hotel Viking (Sunday 2pm – 4pm)
Monday
12 – Columbus Day Parade (Monday – 12pm)
The parade kicks off from St. Joseph’s Church (after 11am mass) on Broadway and ends at the Christopher Columbus Monument on Memorial Blvd.
