Cam Newton signs 1-year deal with New England Patriots

The New England Patriots have agreed to terms with quarterback former league MVP Cam Newton. The one-year deal is worth up to $7.5 million.

Newton was the first overall pick in the 2011 draft.

The Patriots are expected to have multiple quarterbacks reporting to training camp, including Newton, Jarrett Stidham, and Brian Hoyer.
