Confident Captain/Ocean Pros Practice Training Exercises at the Boys & Girls Club of Newport County

Confident Captain/Ocean Pros is a maritime training facility dedicated to providing the best possible training, service and consultation for all mariners, be they recreational boaters, US Captains, or Yachtmasters. They are the only Captain’s License training facility that operates fulltime in Rhode Island and they offer a full complement of USCG courses including OUPV (Six-Pack), Master’s license from 25 to 200 GT, and Able-Seaman Certification.

The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need help most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. For nearly 60 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County has provided quality programming and services to all youth in the community. The Club is part of a nationwide movement of more than 4,000 Boys & Girls Clubs, and provides services to more than 3,200 youth annually.
