Northeast Alternatives, a Fall River based marijuana dispensary, has been cleared to start recreational sales this Sunday, January 20th at noon according to the Massachusetts Cannabis Commission.

The dispensary is located just off of Route 24 at 999 William Canning Boulevard in Fall River, a couple hundred feet from the Rhode Island state line.
This is the the ninth retail shop to open in Massachusetts since November. The other locations are in Salem, Northampton, Leicester, Hudson, Pittsfield, Wareham, Easthampton and Great Barrington.
Earlier this week, Rhode Island Gina Raimondo indicated that she will propose recreational marijuana this legislative session.
