Fortress of Nightmares, Newport’s Premiere Haunted Attraction, returns to Fort Adams, October 16 -18 & October 23 – 25. (6pm – 10pm)
General Admission tickets ($15) for the Fortress of Nightmares give you access to all attractions including the Tunnels of Terror, one round of Zombie Laser Tag, the Officer’s Quarters Ghost Hunt, Killer Film Fest, and Food Court.
If your child doesn’t want a full horror themed experience, they can be dropped off at Kids Fun House ($10) located inside the Fort Adams Visitors Center, where our staff will help them decorate a cookie, make Halloween crafts, and go trick-or-treating at the Fort Adams Jail, while you enjoy yourself inside the Fort.
TUNNELS OF TERROR
Tunnels of Terror is ALL NEW for 2015! Not for the weak of heart, or those under 12 years of age. Experience an up close and personal interaction with our twilight inhabitants as you try to make you way out of our underground tunnel system alive. If you think your child may not appreciate this experience, please see the Kids Fun House. Admission to Tunnels of Terror is included with your ticket purchase.
ZOMBIE LASER TAG
Enter the arena and try to eradicate as many zombies as you can…Humanity depends on YOU! One game of zombie laser tag is included in your admission ticket – additional games are just $5.
HAUNTED OFFICER’S QUARTERS GHOST HUNT
This is the area of the fort that was recently explored by the TAPS Team from the hit reality series “Ghost Hunters”. Explore the Officers Quarters as they once were. You’ll be equipped with an infrared thermometer, EMF meter and flashlight. you’ll be able to interact with their twilight inhabitants and see for yourself if this area is truly haunted. Admission to Haunted Officers Quarters is included with your ticket purchase.
KILLER FILM FEST
Tucked within the walls of the fort sits their very own screening room. Freely come and go as you please and enjoy an full lineup of some of the best short horror films from around the world.
KIDS FUN HOUSE
If your child doesn’t want a full Halloween themed experience, then we encourage you to take them to our Kids Fun House, located inside the Fort Adams Visitors Center, where staff will help them decorate a cookie, make Halloween crafts, and go trick-or-treating at the Fort Adams Jail. Parents may leave their child with staff for up to one hour; Parents may then enjoy the full Halloween experience inside the walls of Fort Adams.
