GoFundMe Launched for Portsmouth Teen Killed in Graduation Party Tragedy at Portuguese American Club

Kelly Nevitt GoFundMe

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support the family of 15-year-old Kelly Nevitt, the Portsmouth High School freshman who tragically lost her life in the June 7 incident at the Portuguese American Citizens Club.

Described by loved ones as a “bright and beloved” student with a passion for the arts and Colorguard, Kelly is remembered for her warm spirit, radiant smile, and ability to light up every room she entered.

“Her absence has left an unimaginable void in our hearts,” wrote campaign organizers Krista Dooley and Nikki Vazquez. “She was a loving daughter, a loyal friend, and a kind soul.”

The fundraiser, created to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, calls on the community to ease the burden on Kelly’s grieving family. “No family should have to endure the pain of losing a child, let alone bear the sizable financial burden,” the post reads.

The campaign is also a heartfelt tribute to Kelly’s legacy, urging community members to donate, share, or offer their thoughts and prayers.

As of Wednesday, the GoFundMe has begun gaining traction as Portsmouth mourns the devastating loss and continues to rally in support of the Nevitt family.
