Hozier, 2015 Newport Folk Headliner, wins Song of the Year at 2015 BBC Music Awards

Irish singer Hozier, the 2015 Newport Folk Festival headliner, won the BBC Music Awards’ song of the year for  “Take Me To Church” – the show’s only public vote.

Ed Sheeran (Bloodstream), Ellie Goulding (Love Me Like You Do), Jason Derulo (Want to Want Me), Jess Glynne (Hold My Hand), Major Lazer & DJ Snake feat. MØ (Lean On), Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars (Uptown Funk), OMI (Cheerleader – Felix Jaehn Remix), The Weeknd (Can’t Feel My Face) and Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth (See You Again) were also nominated.
