Isner dominates and heads to semifinals at Newport

During Day 5 of the Dell Technologies Hall of Fame Open, the field of 8 singles quarterfinals and 4 doubles semifinals matches were cut in half, as we move one step closer to the championship.

The singles winners included John Isner (USA) (1) over Dennis Novikov (USA)  6-4, 6-4 and Bjorn Fratangelo (USA) over Pierre-Hugues Herbert (FRA) (4) 6-2, 5-7, 6-4.

In doubles action, Matt Reid (AUS)/John-Patrick Smith (AUS) defeated Alex Bolt (AUS) and Andrew Whittington (AUS) 6-2, 4-6, 10-5, while Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi (PAK)/Rajeev Ram (USA) (1) downed  Sam Groth (AUS)/Leander Paes (IND) (3)  4-6, 7-6 (6), 11-9.
