Democratic nominee Joe Biden has selected Democratic California Sen. Kamala Harris to be his running mate to take on President Donald Trump in the November presidential election. If elected, she would be the nation’s first female, first Black and first Asian American vice president.
Biden announced the pick Tuesday afternoon on Twitter.
“I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked @KamalaHarris — a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants — as my running mate.”
