Lauryn Hill has just been announced as part of the 2026 Newport Folk Festival lineup — and she’ll take the stage Friday, July 24, at Fort Adams State Park.
A five-time Grammy winner and one of the most influential voices of her generation, Hill’s 1998 masterpiece The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill helped redefine modern soul, hip-hop, and R&B. Her live performances are known for their intensity, reinvention, and spiritual charge — never just a concert, always a moment.
Newport Folk has long blurred genre lines, and Hill’s addition continues that tradition, bringing one of music’s most powerful storytellers to the City-by-the-Sea.
